Slow and steady wins the race...hopefully.
It’s been almost four weeks since my friends and I started our weight loss challenge and I’m only slightly happy to announce that I’m only slightly less fat than I was four weeks ago. I have lost weight, but only a little bit. So little in fact that if you’ve seen me recently you probably didn’t even notice that I lost any weight. Super. As Marc would put it, at...
The Back Up Plan.
A couple of months ago, I decided that in case I don’t get a teaching job come fall I should have a back up plan. Had I been smart and not caught up in the whirlwind of wedding planning, I would have been having this same thought last year. Oh well, what’s done is done. Moving onto this year.

LOFT loves teachers... →

Besides, we can use all the love we can get being that our paychecks aren’t big to begin with and a lot of it just ends up going back into our classrooms anyway.
Gettin' the itch.
Don’t worry, it’s nothing that requires a topical treatment. I’m just talking about the itch to get back on my bike and train for another event. Maybe not even train so much as just get back on and go riding. I haven’t been out riding since The Cinderella last month and I think it’s time to, literally, get back on the saddle.
Problem is that I don’t really...
